Israel Support – Fundraising Project

12
May

In May of this year, Israel came under attack. Over 4,000 rockets were launched from Gaza into Israel. By a miracle of God, few Israelis lost their lives.

For several reasons, I have been unable to travel for over a year (I realize the pandemic has caused this for most everyone). I was frustrated as I saw the Holy Land under attack. I felt our Ministry was doing nothing. I felt helpless.

Then—a God idea! We began to raise funds for people who has suffered from the bombings. By His grace, and the amazing generosity of our partners, we raised $5,500.

The monies were sent to and through Pastors we personally know — all men of the highest integrity. In fact one Pastor-friends said that no one in his Congregation has suffered any loss and recommended another Pastor who has incurred severe damaged to his home. That’s real integrity.

Because of the amazing generosity of our partners, we were able to:

  • Bless a Ministry that receives immigrants who make Aliyah and assists them with housing, food, health care and needed legal documentation.
  • Bless a Congregation that has endured much persecution from the Orthodox sector of Israel. This pastor sent the women and children of his congregation into a safe area in the North, financing their housing and food. The men stayed home. Amidst the danger, they bravely distributed food to the needy.
  • Bless that Pastor whose home was severely damaged. This Pastor emailed a very kind letter of thanks and included picture. He wrote: “Dear brother in Christ, greetings from Israel… a check from you in order to help us after the rocket… destroyed partly our apartment. the windows are installed. The walls… are repaired. Now we have to paint.. and the apartment will be ready. Thank you very much.”

We praise God for His incredible faithfulness. We thank Him for everyone who made this outreach so successful. Harvest Fellowship International will forever support Israel.
